Surveying software training from Maplas focuses on moving field or reference data through a controlled digital workflow. Depending on the selected course, learners may work with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, QGIS, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, Surfer, Google Earth Pro or GNSS-processing tools. Topics can include data import, layer and file organisation, coordinate handling, drafting, contours, terrain models, profiles, plan preparation, map output and quality checks. Training is adapted to the learner's current ability, software version, computer capability and expected work. Participants should confirm licensing or access for any proprietary software before the programme begins; Maplas does not supply unauthorised software. Exercises use suitable sample data unless client data has been approved for training use. Individual and team programmes can be delivered from Malindi, at an agreed Kenyan venue, or remotely where practical. Dates, duration, prerequisites, outputs and support after training are confirmed before booking.
