Maplas GIS training is designed around practical tasks rather than software menus alone. Learners can build skills in QGIS, ArcGIS, spatial-data organisation, coordinate systems, field-data import, digitisation, georeferencing, map production, analysis and project delivery. Before confirming a programme, we ask about the learner's current level, goals, available computer, software access and the type of data they expect to handle. Sessions combine explanation, guided demonstrations and exercises using appropriate sample or client-approved data. Course depth, duration and delivery method are agreed in advance. Training can be arranged for individuals, companies, institutions and project teams from our Malindi base, in Watamu or Kilifi, elsewhere in Kenya by arrangement, or remotely where the topic is suitable. A course description is not a fixed timetable or guarantee of certification; dates, venue, assessment and any completion record are confirmed for each booking.
